Long Version
I have been working in the web for almost 6 years out of the Twin Cities. As an Application Developer turned Web Analyst I specialize in web strategy and how it integrates with web technology. Over the years I have engaged in several different areas of the web including development, strategy, design, usability, marketing, email, information architecture, search engine optimization, web content management, and social media planning. While my roots are based in the technical side of the web, my specialty resides in Web Marketing. My mom, on the other hand, would probably describe me as a young fella who does computer stuff…bless your heart mom.

So what am I really doing in the web? Well, the truth is plain and simple to me – I absolutely love this stuff. I could be called a “computer nerd”, but I would argue for “web nerd”. The web is a vast abode of knowledge and information. I am fascinated by the speed in which the web evolves and the opportunity the surrounds it. In the web, everything changes and nothing gets old. How can this stuff get boring?

My Story
I grew up in the small Midwest town of Hudson, Wisconsin (a suburb of the Twin Cities). I went to college at the University of Minnesota – Duluth and graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) and a minor in Marketing. Go Bulldogs!

I’ve always loved the outdoors and playing sports (notably hockey although anything that makes me work hard). I am starting to think of myself as a runner and I ran my first marathon about a year ago. Staying active and fit is a strong part of my life.

You’d think I stay off the web in my free time, but I’d be lying if I said I did. I’m a news and social media junky. Being in the know is a part of my nature. Say hi to me on Twitter.

1. My mom was once a nun.
2. I’ve written, directed, and starred in a theatrical play…all within a 24 hour time frame.

4. Nearly died from what I thought was bad pizza, but turned out to be appendicitis.
5. Been to 15 Dave Matthew’s Band concerts.
6. Hate popcorn (but eat it if I have to).
7. Prank called 911 20+ times when I was 6 years old.
8. Was duct-taped to a football goal post in high school. Would you believe me if I said I volunteered to do this?
